Work in progressI feel that patient insights are both challenging as well as thought provoking. These insights are born of an experience we can only imagine [and often do imperfectly].
Work in progressEngaging patients in disease education and clinical development programs
Work in progressI will help my organization listen to the voice of the patient - their main questions, concerns, insights - so that we can improve our communication, our products and processes to better meet their needs.
Work in progressOver the years I have been coordinating a number of patient volunteering initiatives in Belgium, to allow myself and other colleagues to pause from the daily tasks in live and get closer to our end customers. Effective listening and observing can’t be done with a preoccupied mindset so I am motivated to continue these activities. Think big, start small is my motto.
Work in progressI have signed up to co-launch a Belgian chapter of the European Patients’ Academy because I am convinced of the value this initiative will bring. Educating patients to enhance patient involvement in medicine development is a high priority on the health agenda. I am committed to work with patients, patient groups, academia and other stakeholder groups to make this initiative a success.
Work in progressI will challenge myself and colleagues around the world on the language we use in our communication. If we want to be equal partners, we need to speak the same language. I will continue to share good examples of patient involvement to showcase the value it brings and motivate others to do the same.
